Editing Workflow and Color

Editing should reinforce your capture decisions, not rescue avoidable mistakes. A stable process reduces fatigue and improves consistency.

Pipeline order

  1. Cull for story and technical quality.
  2. Apply lens corrections and white balance.
  3. Set exposure and contrast foundation.
  4. Refine color selectively.
  5. Use local adjustments for attention control.
  6. Export for destination (web, print, client).

Color discipline

Pick one reference image per shoot. Match other edits to its tone and contrast envelope to avoid random color drift.
